The following services are provided by the Borough for the health, welfare, and well being of our residents and visitors.
Police service for Hulmeville Borough is provided 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Part-time coverage of the Borough is provided by the Borough police force. When the Borough police officers are not on duty, coverage of the Borough is provided by the Pennsylvania State Police, Trevose Barracks.
The police department is housed in the Borough hall at 321 Main Street. Entrance to the police department is from the rear of the building. Additional information on the police department may be found on their web page on this site.
Fire suppression services for Hulmeville Borough are provided by the William Penn Fire Company, under contract to the Borough. The fire company also provides service to parts of Middletown and provides mutual aid to the surrounding communities. The fire company maintains two stations: the Hulmeville Station at 123 Main Street and the Oxford Valley Station at 1170 Bristol-Oxford Valley Road.
The fire company provides coverage 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, with totally volunteer fire fighters. The fire company maintains a social hall at their Hulmeville station, which is used often for Borough events and is also available for rent (see their website for more information).
Emergency medical and ambulance service to Hulmeville Borough is provided by the Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad (PMES), a non-profit, emergency ambulance service. Headquartered in Middletown Township (on Route 1, just east of Penndel) the PMES serves residents of Middletown Township and the neighboring Boroughs of Hulmeville, Langhorne, Langhorne Manor and Penndel.

Household waste is picked up every Wednesday by Leck Waste Services. Recyclable materials are also picked up on Wednesdays as well as yard waste (from April until December). Everything to be picked up should be at the curb by 6 a.m., but should not be placed out more than 24 hours ahead.

The Hulmeville Municipal Authority is responsible for providing and maintain public water and the sewer system throughout the Borough. The Authority maintains no water storage or pumping facilities, but purchases water from the Bucks County Water Authority.

The Borough has contracts with various service companies to maintain the streets and street lighting. This applies to Borough owned streets and street lighting. State Roads, such as Main Street, Trenton Avenue, and Bellevue Avenue, are maintained by the State.
Salting and/or plowing of Borough streets will begin shortly after the beginning of a snowfall when appreciable accumulations are anticipated. You should park all cars off of the street to make room for the plows.
Whenever snow or ice of 2 or more inches is expected to accumulate, a snow emergency may be declared. During a snow emergency, it is unlawful to park a vehicle on a designated snow emergency route. The following are designated as snow emergency routes (along their entire length): Main Street, Hulme Street, Trenton Avenue, Bellevue Avenue, and Neshaminy Street.
Note that the Borough only clears snow and ice off of Borough streets and the sidewalks of Borough property (i.e., the Borough Hall). It is the responsibility of the person having control (e.g., owner, occupier, or tenant) of every lot or other premises, to clear snow and ice from the property sidewalks. This must be done within 24 hours after the snow has ceased to fall. Failure to do so may result in the Borough having the snow or ice removed, with the cost to be paid by the owner, occupier, or tenant, or be cited and fined up to $1,000 per day.
