There are a number of standing boards and committees that serve various functions for Hulmeville Borough. The following is a listing of these boards and committees along with information that may help you determine which one can assist you with an issue. Information is also provided on the normal meeting dates and times, individuals serving on that board/commission, and how to contact the board/commission.

Note that several of these boards and commissions may only meet on an as-needed-basis. Therefore you should check directly with the board or committee chairperson before planning on attending an indicated meeting date.

The Historical Architectural Review Board was created by Ordinance 169 in April 1986. The Board consists of seven (7) members. The members include 1 architect, 1 real estate agent, the Borough Zoning Officer, and 4 residents. Each member serves a 3-year term, with January appointments running through the end of the year.

The Board meets to hear petitions and render decisions on appeals, variances, and special exceptions that arise from the administration of the Borough's Historical District Ordinance.

 The board's normal meeting night is the 3rd Monday of the month. Note, this board may not meet every month, but may meet only as needed. Contact the board chairperson, Borough Zoning Officer, or Borough Secretary to request a meeting

OverviewMeetings
The Planning Commission was first organized in August of 1979 by Ordinance 152. The board consists of five members, 2 of which are council persons and 3 members at large. Each member serves a 4-year term, with appointments beginning in March.

The Planning Commission was established to exercise the roles and fulfill the responsibilities of a planning agency as spelled out in Article II of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code. 		The board's normal meeting night is the 3rd Wednesday of the month. Note, this board may not meet every month, but may meet only as needed. OverviewMeetings
The Recreation Board was created in March of 1966 by Ordinance 101. The Board consists of five members. Each member serves a 5-year term, with appointments such that one member's appointment expires each year. The board is responsible to equip, operate, and maintain places of recreation within the Borough and to develop a general plan for parks and playgrounds to be laid out and confirmed by the Borough Council. OverviewMeetings
The Stormwater Management Committee oversees the Borough's efforts to meet Department of Environmental Protection guidelines for managing storm water runoff. The board is responsible for implementing public education programs and to distribute educational materials to the community about the impacts of storm water runoff. The Water Authority was first organized in May of 1961. The Authority consists of five members at large. Each member serves a 5-year term The Water Authority meets the 4th Monday of each month. The meetings are held in the Borough Hall and begin at 7:00 pm.
