Due to the ongoing pandemic and state-of-emergency, there are a number of announcements being made, and a large number of resources available, some of which are reliable and useful, some of which are not. With new modeling projecting 22,000 new COVID-19 cases per day in Pennsylvania in December, Governor Tom Wolf and Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine today announced new targeted mitigation measures to help stop the spread during this critical time. These include a robust enforcement plan targeted at chronic violators along with an effort to ensure schools are safe and in compliance with COVID safety plans. The administration is also encouraging Pennsylvanians to limit unnecessary travel and stay at home.
Harrisburg, PA– As Pennsylvania experiences a resurgence of COVID-19 cases with significantly higher daily case counts than in the spring and hospitalizations on the rise, the Wolf Administration has identified four new mitigation efforts, which Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine announced today.
“It is our collective responsibility to protect our communities and our most vulnerable Pennsylvanians from COVID-19 and to continue to work together to get through this pandemic. These targeted mitigation efforts, combined with existing ones, are paramount to saving lives and protecting our economy,” Gov. Wolf said. “The administration will continue to monitor the risks posed by COVID-19 across the commonwealth and will reinstate or institute new targeted mitigation tactics as necessary.”

Due to the ongoing pandemic, and considering the Governor's stay-at-home order, the Borough Council and Authority will hold their regular monthly meetings, including any work sessions, as virtual meetings via on-line video conference.
Members of the public may observe and participate in the meetings by obtaining log in details from the notice posted on the Borough Hall door several days before the meeting date. Draft minutes and details of the meetings, and recordings of the meetings, will also be posted on the Borough website after the meetings.
As of this evening, March 13, in response to Governor Wolf's announcements earlier today, Hulmeville Borough offices will be closed to all non-essential staff and the public. This includes the scheduled office hours for the Borough tax collector.
The Hulmeville Borough Police Department will continue to operate. However, the Wednesday evening visitations will be discontinued until further notice.
