I was born and raised in Hulmeville, even going to Hulmeville School (now the
Borough Hall) through 5th grade (when it closed).
I attended Neshaminy Schools, graduating from Neshaminy High School in 1972.
I went to the University of Maryland where I received a Bachelor's of Science in Fire
Protection Engineering (1977). Then I attended Rider University where I received a
Master's in Business Administration (1984).
I am employed as a fire protection and process safety consultant. My employer,
Hughes Associates, Inc., is located in Baltimore, MD, however, I work from my house
(when I am not traveling).
I have been active in the community for many years. As soon as I was old enough
I joined the William Penn Fire Company (1968). While attending Maryland, I lived in
a fire station, where the room was free to active fire fighters. I am still active
in the fire company serving as both an administrative officer and as a line officer.
After living for awhile in Bristol Township and Langhorne, in 2002 I moved back
to the Borough. I live on Trenton Avenue with 2 of my 3 daughters. I can often
be seen at lunch time walking our dog, Max (or maybe it is Max walking me!).
